BIOGrAPhy

Lisbet Kemp was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1962, however grew up in calm nature areas north of Copenhagen.

In an early age she was introduced to the the fairy tales and paper cut art and illustrations of the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. 

This became a huge inspiration for her to make paper cuts and illustrations  inspired by fairy tales, nature and travels with her parents to the southern part of Europe.

She held small local exhibitions selling her paper cut art when she was 14. During her studies at the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts, she designed scenography illustrations for the National Danish Television, made local exhibitions and earned her living from doing portraits and illustrations.

in 1990 she obtained her Master of Science in Architecture.

Loving to travel and experience the world, she moved to Lisbon, where she worked as a graphic designer and architect as well as found great inspiration in her spare time for producing illustrations, paper art and paintings.

Moving back to Denmark in 1994, she experienced an accident, which gave her a deeper interest in life, psychology, destiny and our journey in life. These interests grew alongside with establishing a small art gallery in Tivoli, center Copenhagen selling her own art. 

In 1998, she began to work full time as an intuitive counselor. 

Inspired by the imagery seen through sensing the clients lives, she started to paint the images she saw. Also, in general, sensing and experiencing images, colors and light different from the more solid, physical world during meditations as well as in dreams, became an inspiration for illustrations and paintings.

Being married to a diplomat, she spent seven years in Jordan  and Afghanistan, where she partly worked as a psychological counselor and teacher. Particularly Afghanistan and the Afghans incredible way to deal with very hard conditions became a huge inspiration for reflections about our life journey, destiny and life.

From 2007- 2012 she lived in Washington DC, where she worked as an intuitive counselor and artist, offering readings including a painting representing the life and resources of the clients. In 2010 she participated in Artomatic, Art exhibition in Washington DC, showing here Life Journey Pictures. 

Today, working mostly online from country side of Denmark, her main focus is her work combining  intuitive readings and paintings
